I bought these polkadot panti-hose a few weeks ago, ostensibly to wear under my short-shorts, but they looked dreadful, so this is their first outing.

They're great fun, and I was delighted they fit because patterned stockings that encompass my generous proportions are a bit few and far between, and this is the first dotty pair I've managed to find.

It's actually the brooch that caught people's attention today though - I couldn't get a proper photo of it, but here's the image off CatRabbit's website:

It's adorable, huh?

Hullo, hullo! Did everyone have a scrumptious week? Are we all as glad as I am to find Friday knocking on the door again?

I feel like I've had one of those weeks where I've been working like crazy, but have somehow managed to accomplish... nothing.

I had lots of little jobs to do - mending, cleaning, cooking, sorting - but the only one I've managed to complete is:

Double Duty

When I first tried this dress on in Dream Diva I didn't actually realise it was anything more than a swishy skirt. Amazingly, it turns out that it's one of those items that does a double duty - unfold the waistband, and it makes quite a cute strapless dress, fold it down and it's a drapey black skirt.

It has a full circle skirt which I usually steer away from as there's so much volume, but with this heavy jersey it sits really well.

I've discovered that you can easily play with the neckline too. Obviously it's just straight, normally:

But it's just as easy to pleat the top down and pin it with a safety pin to create a sweetheart neckline:

So, in other news I've got my second Belly Dancing class which I'm doing with ultimate cutie-pie Miss Kit tonight.

I love belly dancing, I love that the wobblier you are the better it looks, and that it's sexier when you have some curves. I love that you get to wear spangly jewellery that jingles.

Theoretically I bought the skirt/dress especially for belly-dancing - I think it'll do well, then afterwards I can shuck the t-shirt, hoist the waistband up, and I'm ready to hit the town!

Frockapalooza: Day 9 - The Cold Shoulder

Oooh - here's a glam Frockapalooza entry.

Last night I attended a (pretty awful) singles night with a couple of girlfriends. I frocked up in my remixed one shoulder dress which was made from an American Apparel top that was riding up and a City Chic skirt that was falling down.

It's a bit of a hash job, but it must've looked okay because my favourite pick-up line from the night was "I don't know what you look like normally but you look pretty good tonight" (be still my heart!)
