Snob that I am, the only wool that I can wear without squirming with discomfit is cashmere and it's hard to come by in Australia for under $500 a piece, not to mention the difficulty of tracking down more generous sizes.
Fortunately for me the other side of the world - where the reasonably-priced cashmere retailer Pure Collection is - is coming into its warmer months so the UK-based company is clearing out its winter stocks.
I managed to pick up this wrap cardigan for a steal - It's lovely and soft though a bit longer than expected.
Problem is, on the website the colour was described at "Heathered Rasberry" and looked like a fetching cross between dove-grey and rose. In reality it should be called "Mattel Pink" because it's the exact hue of Barbie's convertible.
Ah, the perils of internet shopping.

Thanks girls - I actually used to wear a lot of pink, but somehow it just fell out of vogue in my wardobe
